Join us with the first full moon of the year: the full wolf moon in Cancer. The sign of Cancer is ruled by the moon so this could be a more emotional time. It teaches us to go inward, trusting our own intuition in order to recharge after all of the energy settles after the holidays and new year.

Heal your body and find your state of calm as you immerse yourself in an hour of self care. Enjoy the sounds of crystal sound bowls, chimes, gongs, Tibetan sound bowls, prisms and more.

Bring: a yoga mat (a few will be provided), a pillow, eye mask & bolsters and any other items that might assist you in finding your most comfortable spot.

A sound healing combined with the sounds of nature, a light breeze, and scents of smoke from a campfire combined with sensation of floating brings multiple healing modalities together for an extra special healing experience.

This sound healing will start at 7:30 pm- an hour LATER than the full and new moon Peace of the Planet healings. Please arrive between 15 and 20 minutes early to get settled and in the water.

As the weather and water temperature is cooling, there will be “dry” floats available to all who attend. These floats are above water floats (more like a floating mattress with sides) and are meant to keep you dry. If you take your time getting in, remaining dry won’t be a problem. You will have assistance getting in and out and we will have towels to clean up any splashes that may end up in your space. (The “wet” floats (there are only 2) will be saved for the warmer healings!)

Once everyone is in the pool, the waves and movement will settle and it will be a calm rocking, if any movement at all. :)

Please park at the end of the driveway (in the cul-de-sac) or in the few driveway spaces near the house and follow the lit path to the left of the garage to make your way to the pool. There will be essential oil bug spray for you to use. There will also be essential oil bug “sticks” that will be smoking around the edges of the pool for extra protection.

Wear the same comfy clothes that you would to an outdoor event. A blanket (and pillow) is recommended to keep you comfy and also assures that if there are bugs, you have an extra layer of protection.

What is the pool temperature? The pool water has been running around 72 degrees this month. The cooler nights cause the temperature to slowly retreat. It is not heated.

How deep is the pool? The “shallow” end is around 3 feet deep and the “deep” end is only 5 and a half feet deep.

Will there be a life guard present? This is a heart driven healing event and as such (and because it is low risk), I do not anticipate the need for any life guard. No life guard will be present.

How long is the healing? The healing itself will be one hour, starting from when the first chimes ring to the end. If the start time is delayed as we all get settled, the time will adjust accordingly.

Can I bring my own float? If you have a particular float that you prefer, please contact me. We can assess on a case-by-case basis.

Is it rain-or-shine? No. If there is rain forecasted on August 22nd you will be notified and the rain date is scheduled for the following evening, on August 23rd at 7:30 pm. So here’s the thing….

I’ve been approached a number of times this spring and summer about holding a “floating” sound healing. After a little bit of planning and working the logistics out, we’re ready to give it a go!

It only seemed right to hold a healing at the peak of Lion’s Gate! Outside, in nature with the elements and the sounds of the animals as the perfect backdrop.

Lion’s gate “season” starts on July 26th and extends through August 12th, “peaking” on August 8th when the star Sirius is at its closest proximity to earth. It is a time that has been known to be “magical and powerful”. (My oldest daughter was married on this date and it WAS magical!!) It is a time where it is believed that the “veil between the two worlds” is thin, hence allowing us to receive high frequency vibrations with the purpose of heal our energetic bodies. It can provide deep ancestral healing, as we let go of negative patterns we have inherited from past generations. (such as fear, shame, and limiting thoughts) The energies that come in teach and RE-teach various lessons. Ones that we may have learned but forgot. We all benefit from the reminders.

Yes, another Capricorn Full moon this month!! The first was at the beginning of Cancer season and this one at the end. It is an energetically significant time to close the many feelings we have encountered since June 21st. Have you noticed people snapping at undeserved recipients? Feeling overwhelmed emotionally? The emotions of the cancer season just want to be felt and sometimes exhibit themselves in random, unexpected ways. Sunday night, we will utilize the grounding and practical energy of the full moon in Capricorn to discern what messages these emotions were meant to carry for each of us. A fiery start to the new astrological year with a new moon in Aries accompanied by a solar eclipse! Aries is bringing in the energy of passionately reinventing yourself, and fighting the battle to find your unique place in the world. Aries holds the energy to get things done and make things happen ! With the intense and fiery energy of this solar eclipse, you will be more than ready to relax with a grounding sound healing - with a little guidance on the new moon & eclipse energy to help you navigate the crazy energy!

Eclipses bring us periods of transformation and change. They help us complete a journey or shift the way we were headed to become more aligned with ourselves. It may bring unexpected news or events that we can't "unsee". But this information assists us in embrace our reality and move us forward. During this full moon ceremony, we will detach from energies, emotions and even people who don't serve our evolution. Breaking through these barriers during an eclipse will catapult us to our highest potential.

We will be creating a despacho, a shamanic fire offering, inside and then we will move outside to the fire pit to offer our despachos to the fire. Although the supplies for the offering will be provided for you, if you have any items from nature, letters, or other items you are ready to release, please feel free to bring them along.

Shamanic ceremonies are a powerful way to connect with a higher power, give gratitude, and release unneeded/unwanted energies. We will be combining the quiet introspective Shamanic ceremony with moving our bodies and freeing the energies stuck inside us. (Ok, dancing. We'll be moving our bodies and dancing!) Find time to honor yourself with a one hour sound bath located in Madbury’s beautiful Public Library. You will be immersed in the healing vibrations of many beautiful sound healing instruments including gongs, chimes, crystal and Tibetan sound bowls, wave drums and more.
