Oil Tips for Sleepless nights

Trouble sleeping can be caused by a plethora of things… from stress, travel, medications or too many cups of java! There are as many different oil combinations to help as there are unique reasons why you can’t catch your zzz’s. However, there are a few “go-to” oils that doTERRA offers that assist with relaxation.

💧Serenity

The doTERRA Serenity oil  combines essential oils renowned for their ability to lessen feelings of tension and calm emotions, and support a restful sleep when used aromatically. Apply one to two drops to the hands and inhale throughout the day to help reduce worry from life’s daily stressors, or diffuse at night to help quiet a restless baby or child (or you!). The addition of Cedarwood, Ho Wood, and Vetiver essential oils gives dōTERRA Serenity a grounding aroma that calms the mind and soothes the senses.  (It comes in capsule form too!)

💧Lavender

Applied topically, Lavender is frequently used to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.  {I know those wrinkles keep ME up! :)} Add to bath water to soak away stress or apply to the temples and the back of the neck.At night, you can either add a few drops of Lavender directly to pillows and bedding, or add a 5-10 drops to a spray bottle with distilled water and spray linens or apply to the bottoms of feet to relax and prepare for a restful night’s sleep. Due to Lavender’s versatile properties, it is considered the must-have oil to have on hand at all times.

💧💧PERSONAL FAVE: 💧💧

Balance, Wild Orange and Either Cedarwood or Sandalwood M-mmm! This is my total fave!!  Balance has a calming effect and is made from various trees which have a profound grounding effect on us. Cedarwood & Sandalwood, also both from trees. (double bonus!) Sandalwood has emotional properties that “calm the mind, still the heart, and prepare the spirit to commune with God/Spirit”. Cedarwood “inspires the feeling of belonging” and not feeling alone. Wild orange encourages us to let go of scarcity…. A worry that can easily keep us up at night. It inspires solutions for problems and issues that may keep us up at night.

You may require your OWN personal blend to address things going on in your life that keep you up. Call for an appointment for a free half hour consultation.
